Fortress International Group Inc. (FIGI), formerly Fortress America Acquisition Corporation, was formed and organized as a blank check company on Dec. 20, 2004. In June 2005 FIGI (www.thefigi.com) successfully completed an initial public offering and raised $48 million for the purpose of acquiring an operating business that performed services to the homeland security industry. FIGI was successful completing its first acquisition of two companies, Total Site Solutions (www.totalsiteteam.com) and Vortech LLC (www.govortech.com) on Jan. 19, 2007. Both companies operated in tandem and specialize in the design, construction and maintenance of mission critical facilities for both government clients as well as private industry. While the advent of Information Technology (IT) has changed the world, the requirements of IT have changed the Facility. Since 1978, one team has charted the course for the integration of IT into the mission-critical facility… Total Site Solutions (TSS). TSS has helped transform the industry, and played a key role in its development. The Total Site Solutions team pioneered the development and deployment of high-availability infrastructure systems and today TSS continues to set the standard for resilient, robust and scalable infrastructure for the mission-critical facility. TSS offers planning, design, engineering, construction management, commissioning and maintenance services for specialized facilities such as data centers, communications rooms, call centers, laboratories, trading floors, network operations centers, medical facilities and similar environments.
